Instructions for Using Hemp Oil and Shea Butter Moisturizer

  1. Cleanse Your Skin:
    • Start with clean, dry skin. This ensures the moisturizer can penetrate deeply and work effectively.
  2. Warm the Moisturizer:
    • Scoop a small amount with clean fingers. Rub it between your fingertips or palms to warm it up and make it easier to spread.
  3. Apply to Skin:
    • Gently massage the moisturizer into your skin using circular motions. Focus on areas that tend to be drier, like your elbows, knees, and hands.
    • For your face, use only if you have extreme dryness, eczema or psoriasis apply a thin layer, avoiding the eye area.
  4. Allow to Absorb:
    • Apply the toner or water over to push the oils into the skin quicker. Give the moisturizer a few minutes to fully absorb into your skin. It may feel a bit greasy at first, but it will leave your skin soft and hydrated.
  5. Use Regularly:
    • Apply the moisturizer daily, preferably after a shower or bath when your skin is still slightly damp to lock in moisture.

Do’s and Don’ts

Do’s:

  • Patch Test First: Test the moisturizer on a small area of your skin to ensure you don’t have any adverse reactions.
  • Store Properly: Keep the moisturizer in a cool, dry place to prevent it from melting or spoiling.
  • Use Sparingly: A little goes a long way, so start with a small amount and add more if needed.

Don’ts:

  • Avoid use on Face: If you have oily or acne-prone skin, do not use it as it may clog pores.
  • Don’t Apply to Broken Skin: Avoid using on open wounds or severely irritated skin, as it may cause discomfort.

Description

Using a combination of hemp seed oil, raw shea butter, and a blend of essential oils can provide numerous benefits for your skin. Each ingredient brings unique properties that contribute to healthier, more radiant skin. Here’s how they work together:

1. Hemp Seed Oil:

  • Deep Moisturization: Hemp seed oil is rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which help to deeply moisturize the skin without clogging pores. It’s particularly beneficial for dry or dehydrated skin.
  • Anti-Inflammatory Properties: Hemp seed oil has natural anti-inflammatory effects, making it effective in soothing irritated or inflamed skin. It’s especially helpful for conditions like eczema, psoriasis, and acne.
  • Regulates Oil Production: Hemp seed oil helps balance the skin’s oil production, which can reduce the likelihood of acne and keep the skin hydrated without being overly greasy.
  • Rich in Antioxidants: It contains antioxidants, including vitamin E, which protect the skin from free radical damage, reducing the signs of aging and promoting a healthy, youthful complexion.
  • Strengthens Skin Barrier: The essential fatty acids in hemp seed oil help to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, protecting it from environmental stressors and retaining moisture.

2. Raw Shea Butter:

  • Intense Hydration: Raw shea butter is an incredibly rich moisturizer, providing deep hydration to the skin. It is especially beneficial for very dry or rough skin, leaving it soft and smooth.
  • Skin Barrier Repair: Shea butter contains fatty acids and vitamins (like vitamins A and E) that help repair and reinforce the skin’s barrier, preventing moisture loss and protecting against external irritants.
  • Anti-Inflammatory and Healing: Shea butter has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe skin conditions such as dermatitis, eczema, and sunburn. It also promotes healing of minor wounds, burns, and scars.
  • Collagen Production: The presence of triterpenes in shea butter may help to boost collagen production, improving skin elasticity and reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Natural UV Protection: While it should not replace sunscreen, shea butter provides a small amount of natural UV protection, helping to shield the skin from some sun damage.

3. Blend of Essential Oils:

  • Aromatherapy Benefits: Essential oils provide aromatherapy benefits that can enhance your skincare routine. For example, lavender oil promotes relaxation, while citrus oils can uplift and energize.
  • Anti-Aging and Skin Regeneration: Essential oils like frankincense and rosehip are known for their anti-aging properties. They promote skin regeneration, reduce the appearance of scars, and improve skin tone and texture.
  • Antimicrobial and Antibacterial: Many essential oils, such as tea tree, eucalyptus, and lavender, have antimicrobial properties that help keep the skin clean and clear of bacteria, reducing the risk of breakouts.
  • Balancing and Calming: Essential oils like chamomile and geranium help to balance the skin’s oil production and soothe sensitive or irritated skin, making them ideal for those with acne-prone or reactive skin.

Combined Benefits of Hemp Seed Oil, Raw Shea Butter, and Essential Oils:

  • Comprehensive Moisturization: The combination of hemp seed oil and raw shea butter provides intense hydration, making this blend ideal for dry, dehydrated, or damaged skin. Together, they leave the skin feeling soft, supple, and deeply nourished.
  • Enhanced Skin Barrier Protection: Both hemp seed oil and shea butter work to strengthen the skin’s natural barrier, helping to protect against environmental stressors, retain moisture, and prevent dryness or irritation.
  • Soothing and Healing Properties: The anti-inflammatory and healing properties of hemp seed oil, shea butter, and selected essential oils make this blend effective for soothing irritated skin, reducing redness, and promoting healing of minor wounds, scars, or blemishes.
  • Anti-Aging Benefits: The antioxidants and vitamins in hemp seed oil, shea butter, and essential oils help to protect against free radical damage, boost collagen production, and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, promoting a more youthful complexion.
  • Balanced Skin Care: Essential oils tailored to your skin type can balance oil production, clear up acne, or calm sensitive skin, making the blend customizable to meet specific skin care needs.
